Elaine Strum, Owner

Foremost among her many responsibilities and contributions, Elaine brings a personal approach to commercial property. This point of view is apparent in everything we do, every day.

Jesse Berland, Vice President

Jesse, who joined Safety Building Services in 2002, is responsible for the overall management, operations and new business development. Under his leadership, he has helped the company achieve unprecedented growth. He is passionate about providing quality service and is committed to his clients. Jesse provides the vision and foresight that will continue to help take Safety's business to a new level. He graduated from Le Moyne College with a BS in Marketing.

Kealan Corrigan, Director of Operations

Kealan joined the Safety team in October 2008 after working as a Business Analyst for ADP, Inc. An extremely capable manager of our supervisory staff, he is also responsible for work order and job scheduling as well as order fulfillment. He graduated from Fairfield University in 2002 with a BS in Marketing.

Nicholas Georgas, Sales Executive, NY

Nicholas works tirelessly to help Safety Building Services grow the business and provide quality services to all of our clients. He prides himself on meeting and exceeding client expectations – every time.

Joanne Esposito, Sales Executive, CA

Joanne is responsible for expanding Safety Building Services Cleaning, Lighting and Security business on the West Coast. An expert in the Hospitality business, she has owned and managed restaurants and nightclubs across the country. Some of her responsibilities have included bookkeeping for a chain of Chuck E Cheese Restaurants and heading the entertainment departments of nightclubs in Long Island and San Diego.

Joe Kelly, Security Director

Joe joined the Safety Security team in 2001, bring with him more than 25 years’ experience in law enforcement and security. He retired as Detective Sergeant after 20 years with the NYPD, investigating high profile criminal cases. In 2001 he was part of the design and implementation team for new security systems at the Jewish Community Center in Manhattan. Upon completion, Joe took a position with the MTA Bridges and Tunnels, supervising security projects at the Verrazano Narrows Bridge, the Queens Mid-Town Tunnel, MTA Corporate Headquarters and the MTA Revenue Processing Facilities.

Michele Hegel, Office Manager

Michele manages all Human Resources, employee issues and payroll. In addition, she is in charge of developing cleaning proposals, accounts receivable and accounts payable.

Ed Middleton, Accountant

Ed manages the accounting function, conducts financial analysis, tracks expenses, and files payroll taxes. He also handles correspondence with vendors, clients and State and City agencies on financial issues. In a company as diverse and busy as Safety, his is a big responsibility.
